Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Effective Date: April 10, 2026

Your California Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected about them and how it is used, to delete personal information under certain circumstances, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Human Factors Research is committed to protecting your privacy. We want to be transparent about our data practices. While we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes as defined by the CCPA, we provide this page in compliance with California law to ensure you have full visibility into our information practices and to facilitate any requests you may wish to make.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information primarily through our contact form and website analytics. The categories of personal information we collect include:

  • Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, company affiliation, and professional title collected when you submit our contact form
  • Internet Activity: Information about your browsing activity on our website, including pages visited, time spent, and device information collected through Google Analytics
  • Professional Information: Information about your role, industry, and professional background provided voluntarily in contact forms or communications

How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide consulting services
  • Understand how visitors use our website and improve our online presence
  • Send you information about our services and research findings (with your consent)
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect against fraud and maintain security

Do We Sell or Share Personal Information?

No. Human Factors Research does not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA. We do not exchange personal information for monetary consideration, nor do we engage in cross-context behavioral advertising that would trigger CCPA disclosure requirements. Your personal information is used solely for the purposes described above and is not shared with third parties for their independent use without your explicit consent, except as required by law or to service providers who assist us in operating our website and providing our services under confidentiality agreements.

Your CCPA Rights

California residents have the following rights under the CCPA:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request what personal information we collect, use, share, and sell
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
  • Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (though we do not engage in these practices)
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights by denying goods or services, charging different prices or rates, or providing a different level of quality of service

Non-Discrimination Statement

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices or rates, or provide you a different level or quality of service simply because you have exercised your CCPA rights. However, we may offer you financial incentives or other benefits for the collection, retention, use, or sharing of your personal information if permitted by law, provided that such incentives are reasonably related to the value of your information.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
